Sanctions Screening

Screen people, companies and vessels against the EU, UN, US OFAC and UK sanctions lists from Claude.

Fuzzy-matches a name against the official EU consolidated financial sanctions list, the UN Security Council Consolidated List, the US OFAC SDN and Consolidated lists and the UK Sanctions List, downloaded from each publisher at the moment you ask. Matching handles aliases, word order, accents, Cyrillic and Greek script and romanisation variants, and ranks namesakes with date of birth and nationality. Every result is a candidate for human review with a score, the list, programme, listing date, identifiers and a link to the official entry, plus the publication date of each list screened.

Requirements

FAQ

Is a match a finding that someone is sanctioned?

No. Results are candidate matches for human review. Confirm or discount each one against the official entry (date of birth, nationality, identifiers) before acting. The connector is a screening aid, not legal advice.

Where does the data come from?

Directly from the publishers: the European Commission's Financial Sanctions Files, the UN Security Council, the US Treasury's OFAC Sanctions List Service and the UK FCDO. No third-party aggregator is used.

How current are the lists?

Each call downloads the current files, so results reflect what the publishers serve at that moment. Every result states the publication date of each list screened.

What happens if a publisher is down?

The other lists are still screened and the result says clearly which list could not be screened, so you know the check was incomplete.

Do you keep the names I screen?

No. Names are matched in memory during the call and never logged, cached or stored.
