Reads UK government open data, all under the Open Government Licence. Statistics from the Office for National Statistics: inflation (CPI, CPIH, RPI), unemployment, employment, wages, vacancies, GDP, population, public sector debt and borrowing, retail sales and any of the ~60,000 ONS time series or filterable ONS datasets such as Census 2021 tables; average house prices for any UK region or council from HM Land Registry's UK House Price Index. The national open data portal data.gov.uk: search datasets by publisher and format, list their files and preview the first rows of CSV and JSON files. Public procurement from Contracts Finder and Find a Tender: awarded contracts with buyer, supplier and value, open tenders with deadlines, full notices, and spend summaries per buyer or supplier. No credentials needed.

How to connect
FAQ
Straight from the official public APIs: the ONS API (api.beta.ons.gov.uk), HM Land Registry's UK House Price Index, data.gov.uk (CKAN), Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. All publish under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which allows commercial reuse with attribution. Each data.gov.uk dataset states its own licence, shown by the connector. The connector is an independent client, not affiliated with the UK government.
Contracts Finder covers lower-value contracts since 2015 and has full keyword search, so it powers the default contract search and the spend summaries. Find a Tender carries higher-value notices and, since the Procurement Act 2023 (24 February 2025), most new notices. Its API only filters by date, so the connector scans the most recent notices (100 per page, newest first) and says how far back it got. Supplier search by Companies House number uses Find a Tender.
The connector runs in a 128 MB Cloudflare Worker and never stores files. CSV files are streamed and reading stops after 2 MB, which is far more than the 100 rows a preview shows. JSON files up to 3 MB are parsed whole. Excel, ZIP, PDF and web pages are not opened; you get the download link instead.
Every call reads the live source. Each series shows its last release date and the next scheduled ONS release. Labour market figures are 3-month averages labelled by their middle month, and house prices are published about two months after the reference month.
